Friday 24th April

Gardening Group – We are putting stones down to make a wall round the pond.  We have also been digging out the tyres and mving them.

House Captains We are organising a poster competition, a skipping competition and a basketball tournament.

Eco Group We are doing an enormous survey on litter.  We are going to go round all the classes.

JRSO We are working with the infants on road safety.  Rachael and Ellie are organising things for the assembly and other people are working outside planting trees.

School Council We are drawing a logo for Friends of Tarradale.  We are going to choose the best one next week.

 

Friday 20th March

Enterprise Group

We have been trying to buy some toys for the Golden Time boxes that we are setting up.

Gardening Group

Chris and Chrissy have been taking out soil from the tyres so that they are easier to move.  The gardening group have also been digging out an area so that they can make a pond.  They have also been organising for a fence to be put up and picking up litter.

House Captains

We have been organinsing activities for the school to help people.  Megan and Harry.

Eco Group

We have been making posters for Walk to School Week, Spring Clean and Sports Day.  Adrain and Ruth.

School Council

This week we have been designing posters for our suggestion box. 

 

Friday 27th February

 

Eco Group

We are trying to find ways to save energy.  We are also teaching the little ones how to cross the road.  we also have groups showing the infants how to pick up litter with gloves.  Chrissy

We also made a snail out of junk with Matthew and Brandon.  Callum designed a bike helmet too.  Danni

 

House Captains

We have been making up games for Comic Relief and making posters.  One game is where you have to pin the red nose on Spongebob Squarepants.  We are also having face painting.  Katie

 

Enterprise Group

We are making Golden Time boxes for the classes.  We are going to ask the classes what they want in their boxes.  Next Friday our group is going to do our assembly.   Tamara

 

Pupil Council

We are going to be selling Red Noses on Monday for £1 each.  We are designing posters to advertise the red noses.  Alex

We have been making Comic Relief posters to try and sell our red noses.  Stevie

 

Friday 20th February

School Council

We have been working on promoting Buckets of Love to get more people to put the right things in the buckets.  We are going to send a note round the classes.  We have been pairing up and practising to be door monitors.  We are doing something fun for Red Nose Day.  We are thinking of doing a pyjama day or a crazy hair day.   Emma & Kyle

We have been thinking about our assembly which is in two weeks time.  We have been deciding what to spend our money on that we raised form our Valentine’s competition.   Emma & Megan

We have been making a litter bug with lots of junk.   Rachael & Ellie

We are planning some Red Nose Day activities.  Two ideas are a colouring competition and peer mediators.  Nathan & Daniel

 

Gardening Group

We have been measuring the walls and moving the tyres in the garden to fit more things into the garden.  We have been measuring the garden to make a plan of it. 

 

 

Friday 6th February

Enterprise Group

We are deciding on the prize for our Valentine’s competition.  We are thinking about doing footaball competition to raise money for the school.  Daniel and Megan

House Captains

We are organising a quiz at lunchtimes and a tournament.  Each class will be in a team.  We are also learning to do peer mediation to get people feeling happy. 

Eco Group

We watched the DVD that showed the day GMTV came to visit the school.

School Council

We are making a suggestions box and organising our ‘Buckets of Love’ fundraiser to give things to people in Africa and Asia.

Gardening Group

We are planning to make changes in the school garden.  We are planning to go round the classes to interiview pupils about what they would like to see in the garden.

Alasadir (P5/6) and Josh (P4) interviewed members from the different citizenship groups to find out what they’ve been up to at their first meeting of the new year.

We are thinking of a slogan and we have just finsihed signing some letters to different businesses to ask for help.  Erin M, Alex D
