Congratulations to our December pupil achievers who received their certificate at special award ceremony this morning.
Two pupils from each class are selected – one by the pupils and one by the class teacher. Pupils are selected for either being a successful learner, confident individual, responsible citizen or an effective contributor.

‘Real’ author Paul Genesse (The Golden Cord) has left us a comment with lots of good advice on how to write a great story (see recent comments or 27th Nov P4 Story Telling Event). Read through Paul’s advice and spend some time writing your own story. If you would like your story published on our blog for the whole world to read, make sure you let your teacher know.
On Thursday 4th December P4, P5 and P5/6 held their enterprise event. In P4, visitors were able to experience ‘A Taste of Scotland’. In Primary 5 it was ‘A Taste of Great Britain’ and in P5/6 visitors were able to try a selection of European foods.
Everyone put a huge amount of effort into getting this event up and running and a great afternoon was had by all!
Special thanks to the following mums who helped out in various ways:
Mrs Hadley, Mrs Dingwall, Mrs Reid and Mrs MacLean.
Thanks also to Mrs MacDonald and Mrs Ross who helped all afternoon with teas and coffees!
We had lots of positive comments about our enterprise event, what did you think of it?
On Thursday 27th November P6/7 and P7 held a Fairtrade workshop. Parents, family and friends came along to join in with our collaborative learning strategies and helped us with a paper bag activity. all the groups had to make ten bags to earn one rupee. In India people depend on making 250 bags to survive. After our activity teas and coffees were served and parents were welcome to go round the hall tasting Fairtrade food and finding out about our class activities. Thank you to everyone who came and took part. Also thank you to the local Co-op who donated Fairtrade foods.
